Huskers Featured in Three Big 12 National TV Matches

Lincoln -- Nebraska fans across the country will have an opportunity to see the Huskers on national television at least five times this year, as the Big 12 Conference announced its 2009 volleyball telecast schedule. The Big 12 and its television partners, FSN and ESPNU, announced that five matches will be televised this fall.

The Huskers will make three appearances on the Big 12’s TV package, taking on Texas A&M on Wednesday, Sept. 23 (6 p.m.) and at Oklahoma on Wednesday, Sept. 30 (6 p.m.) with both matches carried on ESPNU. On Oct. 30, the Huskers will take on fellow Big 12 co-champion Texas on FSN with a start time set for 6 p.m.

Because of today’s TV announcement, the start times for all three matches have been changed and fans are encouraged to check Huskers.com for updates regarding any future matches.

In addition to the three appearances on ESPNU and FSN, the Huskers’ two matches at this month’s Runza/AVCA Showcase will be televised nationally on CBS College Sports and shown statewide on NET. Look for additional television announcements regarding Nebraska volleyball in the coming days.
