Auction Offers Four Field-Level Experience Tickets for Football Season Opener

You can be part of Nebraska football history.

Thanks to increased Huskers.com functionality, you can bid on the first experiential auction on Nebraska's official website.

Fans everywhere can bid on a season-opening package that offers four seats in Nebraska's Outdoor Suite on the Corporate Sideline Area for the Huskers' 6 p.m. opener against Florida Atlantic on Saturday, Sept. 5. A highlight of the package is a sideline viewing of Nebraska's famous Tunnel Walk.

"This is the first time we've opened up these seats to promotions or auctions," said Michael Stephens, Nebraska's assistant athletic director for Marketing, Licensing and Concessions.

The seats, tucked into the southwest corner of Memorial Stadium's South end zone, offer "a rare field-level experience for fans who love to get up close and personal with what's happening right in front of them," Stephens said. "These seats bring the sights and sounds of Nebraska football so close to you, you almost feel like part of the action."

When a player scores, "you can almost reach out and touch the guy with the ball," Stephens said. "These seats are like premium dugout seats at a major league baseball game. You get a whole different sense of the speed of the game, and the physicality of the game because you're taking in everything that's happening, and sometimes that's right before your eyes."

A big part of this unique experience is an on-sideline view of Nebraska's famous Tunnel Walk - a one-of-a-kind opportunity that will be something you'll remember forever.

We will video your up close and personal experience as the team makes its traditional Tunnel Walk appearance onto the field. You'll also want to document this special day with a camera for friends and family.

Bidding for the four-person experiential auction will conclude at 2 p.m. CT on Thursday, Aug. 13.
