Register On-Line Now for Friday?s Football 202

Husker fans can still register for Friday’s second annual Football 202, which features Nebraska Head Coach Bo Pelini, Johnny Unitas Award-winning quarterback Tommie Frazier and former Husker assistant  football coaches Charlie McBride, Milt Tenopir and Dan Young.

“We have a heavy turnout again, but we’re not full and want to open it up to everyone who’s still interested in coming,” said Jeff Jamrog, Nebraska’s assistant athletic director for football operations.

Pelini launched the full-day session last year to give fans a chance to experience Husker football with the coaches at Memorial Stadium and the Hawks Championship Center.

“The first year was a resounding success, and we know this year will be, too,” Jamrog said. “It will be a fun-filled and informative day, and it’s designed for all fans. We provide behind-the-scenes insight on football schemes, game-planning, opponent preparation and other pertinent information regarding our team for the upcoming season.”

Frazier led Nebraska to back-to-back national championships in 1994 and 1995. McBride, Tenopir and Young were part of a staff that led the Huskers to national titles in 1994, 1995 and 1997.

Registration is set for 7:30 a.m.-8:30 a.m. with a full morning session, a full afternoon session and a one-hour lunch. The program ends at 5:45 p.m. and will be followed by a social function.

The cost of the event is $274, which includes lunch and a T-shirt. Fans can enroll on-line at Huskers.com by visiting the 2009 Summer Camps link on the Nebraska football home page.
