Peetz Invited to U-23 National Team Camp

Lincoln ?Nebraska’s Carly Peetz has been selected to participate in the U.S. Under-23 Women’s National Team training camp in Cleveland, Ohio, from June 12-19. The Lincoln native joins six other defenders who were invited to the event.

 

Head coach Bill Irwin will bring 24 players to the camp, during which the U.S. team will play two matches against the Cleveland Internationals of the USL W-League. Irwin’s squad is composed entirely of collegiate-aged players, as Peetz joins two Texas A&M players in representing the Big 12 Conference. Irwin will use the training session to select an 18-player roster that will travel to England in July for two matches against England.

 

This is the second time this summer Peetz has trained with the squad, after she attended a camp in April in Portland, Ore. Peetz will be a senior on the NU soccer squad this fall.
