Nebraska Athletic Director Tom Osborne has approved a plan to move a portion of the opponent seating for the 2009 season. Approximately 500 of the 3,850 allotted seats reserved for opponents in West Stadium will be moved to the upper sections of 40 and 41 in the North Stadium.
This move, in general, will allow Athletics to improve seat locations for a significant number of Nebraska season ticket holders and will make the seats that are assigned to opponents in Memorial Stadium more equivalent to those assigned to Nebraska fans when the football team travels to other Big 12 stadiums.
The plan is that each affected seat will be relocated within the North Stadium. All seats will be reassigned based on the Nebraska Athletic Donor Priority Point System. No fans will be moved to a row higher than their current location and in most cases, the relocation would be considered an upgrade with the seats being in a row lower than the current seat assignment.

The season ticket holders affected by this move were individually informed of this plan earlier in the week and given the opportunity to have input on their new seat location, including other individuals they may want to be seated near.
Nebraska Athletics is committed to making the fan experience at Memorial Stadium the best of any collegiate stadium in the country. New big screen replay boards are being installed on the northeast and northwest columns. These will provide optimal viewing for North Stadium fans. Ribbon boards will line the east and west balconies for the 2009 season and will add to the game-day presentation, as will the upgrade of all of our HuskerVision screens to a high-definition format.
It is the unprecedented support from our fans that sets the Nebraska football program apart and we are in the process of planning some very special tributes to our fans for the 2009 season and specifically the 300th consecutive sellout game on September 26 vs. Louisiana-Lafayette.
