Williams Earns Life Skills Hero Award

Lincoln- Senior Brittney Williams was one of 30 Nebraska student-athletes who received the Life Skills Hero Award for demonstrating outstanding leadership and citizenship and becoming a role model in the process. ?

An All-Big 12 selection and reigning Big 12 Bars Champion, Williams is pursuing a degree in psychology. She led a young Husker squad after returning from an Achilles tear suffered in 2008.

Husker student-athletes contributed more than 3,300 hours of community service in 2008. The Nebraska women’s gymnastics team has given back to the community on several occasions, spending time at Milder Manor Retirement Center and St. Elizabeth’s Regional Medical Center.
