Huskers Finish 14th at Palisades Collegiate Classic

Charlotte, N.C. - The Nebraska men's golf team wrapped up its regular season Tuesday with a 14th-place finish at the Palisades Collegiate Classic. The Huskers finished the tournament with a team score of 897 after shooting a final-round 298.

Scott Willman led NU with a 221, which tied him for 33rd. After not qualifying for the Husker lineup in the final three tournaments of the fall, the freshman from Prairie Village, Kan., participated in every spring tournament for NU. 

Among other Huskers: Mike Coatman finished at 226 and tied for 45th; Andrew Wyatt tied for 58th with a 228; Mark Pillen tied for 61st at 229 and Brandon Crick carded a 230 and tied for 64th.  

VCU won the team title with an 836. Mike Van Sickle of Marquette earned medalist honors with a 16-under-par 200.

Next up for the Huskers is the Big 12 Championship, set for April 27-29 at Prairie Dunes Country Club in Hutchinson, Kan.
