Lincoln ? University of Nebraska baseball coach Mike Anderson announced changes to this weekend’s Big 12 series with Kansas State.
Because of the inclement weather expected later in the weekend, the Huskers will now play a doubleheader on Friday beginning at 2:05 p.m. with the second game slated for a 6:05 p.m. start. The nightcap will start no earlier than 6:05 p.m.
The finale between the two teams is now scheduled for 2:05 p.m. on Saturday, but the start time could be moved on Saturday or even played on Sunday, depending on the forecast as the teams will look for the best opportunity to play the game.
“In order to meet the obligations of trying to get all three games in this weekend, we felt that we needed to play two games on Friday,” Nebraska Head Coach Mike Anderson said. “We hope our fans are understanding with these changes as we deal with the often unpredictable weather this time of year.”
Fans are encouraged to check Huskers.com, listen to their local IMG Husker Sports Network affiliates or the Nebraska baseball office at (402) 472-2269 on Saturday for the latest updates.
