Huskers Finish 10th at Desert Shootout

Goodyear, Ariz. - The Nebraska men's golf team finished 10th at the 14-team Desert Shootout at Palm Valley Golf Course Saturday. Nebraska shot an 862, its best score of the 2008-09 season and the best team score by a Husker squad since March 20, 2007.

Andrew Wyatt and Mike Coatman led Nebraska, tying for 27th place. Wyatt recorded a final-round and career-best 68, while Coatman shot a 72, as both golfers finished at 214.

Scott Willman was one stroke back at 215 and tied for 33rd. Brandon Crick tied for 51st with a 219, and Austin Zimmerman tied for 73rd at 226. Mark Pillen, playing as an individual, tied for 42nd with a 217.

The Huskers are back in action March 30-31 at the Diet Pepsi/Shocker Classic in Wichita, Kan.
