Columbus, Ga. - Heavy overnight rains and continued showers this morning have altered Saturday's schedule for the Nebraska softball team. The Huskers' scheduled games with Long Island and South Carolina have been cancelled. NU will finish its game with Penn State at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday inĀ its only game of the day.
The Huskers and Nittany Lions played into the second inning on Friday before the rain moved in. On Saturday, the game will resume at the point of the delay, which is in the top of the second inning with Penn State batting with two outs and a runner on first. The Nittany Lions lead the Huskers 1-0.
Nebraska was not scheduled to play on Sunday, but the Huskers could possibly add a game, weather permitting.
