Huskers To Swim in Back-to-Back Road Meets
The Nebraska swimming and diving team will swim in its last road duals of the season this weekend with a pair of matches, at Nebraska-Omaha on Jan. 30 and at IowaState the next day on Jan. 31. The Huskers have a chance to get to .500 on dual meets on the year, as they are currently 1-3 after losing a close meet against Kansas last week.

Nebraska returns home next week with a home dual against Big 12 opponent Missouri on Feb. 7, the team’s final dual of the year before traveling to Missouri’s home pool for the Big 12 Championships from Feb. 25-28. The dual against Missouri will be Senior Day for five Huskers. C.J. Bray, Courtney Jolly, Jenna Stroud, Jenny Toler and Christina Yemm will all be honored before the meet starts as they complete their careers as a Husker.

Scouting the Mavericks

The Mavericks are currently 4-4 on the season, including a 3-1 record at home. UNO hasn’t been in action since a Dec. 12 dual win against South Dakota. The Mavericks swam at the Husker Invitational on Nov. 20-23 in Lincoln, earning eighth place out of the nine teams in the meet.

Scouting the Cyclones

The Cyclones have a 6-3 record this season, being especially tough at home, where they have won five of their six duals in Ames. The Cyclones also swam at the Husker Invitational on Nov. 20-23, earning fourth place, one spot above Nebraska’s fourth-place finish. IowaState has dropped two of its last three after starting the year 5-1.

The Huskers started off the meet by winning the 200-yard medley relay with a time of 1:47.01. The Huskers also took third place in the event to give them an early lead.
