Cabot, Ark. - Junior Cassandra Leuthold placed 15th individually as the No. 2 Nebraska bowling team finished second at the Mid-Winter Classic on Sunday afternoon. The three-day tournament, held at Allfam Bowling and Entertainment in Cabot, Ark., was the first for Nebraska since the start of the winter season.
NU notched a 13-2 record over the tournament for second place, while Delaware State held an 11-4 record for the top spot. No. 1 Vanderbilt placed third behind Nebraska with an 11-4 record.
Leuthold was the only Husker to place in the top-20 for Nebraska, as she held a 190 average in the tournament.
Nebraska is back in action next week with the Greater Ozark Invitational in Springfield, Mo. The three-day tournament is slated to begin on Friday, Jan. 23 and conclude on Sunday, Jan. 25.
