The Huskers competed on still rings (58.40), vault (62.40), parallel bars (54.50) and high bar (50.90) on Friday, before finishing the competition on floor exercise (53.65) and pommel horse (55.80) on Saturday.
NU’s main goal for the intrasquad was to top its scores from last year’s Rocky Mountain Open meet, which was Nebraska’s first meet of the season. This weekend, the Huskers posted a total team score of 335.65, blasting last year’s RMO score of 327.65.
Nebraska opens its 2009 season at the Rocky Mountain Open on Saturday, Jan. 10. NU’s home opener is on Saturday, Jan 18 against Oklahoma.
