The Nebraska men's tennis doubles team of David Bendheim and Calin Paar fell to Austin Krajicek and Conor Pollock of Texas A&M, 8-4, in the main draw first round of the D'Novo Championships in Tulsa, Okla., on Monday. Bendheim and Paar were the first Husker duo to ever reach the doubles main draw of an ITA Championship tournament.
The duo, who were not originally planning on competing in the doubles event, won three straight matches in the pre-qualifying bracket to reach the main draw. They were let into the bracket because of another team dropping out of competition.
Paar and Bendheim will play in a consolation match on Friday at 1:30 p.m. (Central).
