The Husker Sports Network will continue the strong tradition of broadcasting excellence in 2008-09, as it brings Nebraska women's basketball to fans across the nation and around the world on a network of more than 20 affiliates and free live broadcasts on Huskers.com.
In the state of Nebraska, KFGE (98.1 FM) in Lincoln serves as the flagship station for Husker women's basketball, along with 93.3 KTWI in Omaha, with every regular-season game home and away throughout the season on those two stations. In addition, KRVN (880 AM) in Lexington carries a strong signal across the Midwest, reaching across the state and beyond for select Husker women's basketball games.
The Husker Sports Network, in its 14th year of producing and marketing the live broadcast of University of Nebraska Athletics, extended and expanded its agreement with the University on June 13, 2008. Under the agreement, IMG College's Husker Sports Network will manage and market all rights associated with radio programming, coaches' TV and radio shows, program sales, sponsorship inventory and publication printing rights.

Husker Sports Network Broadcast Team
The on-air talent for Nebraska women's basketball is Matt Coatney, a veteran sportscaster who enters his eighth full season as the play-by-play voice of the Huskers. Jeff Griesch will provide color commentary for the 10th season. Together, Coatney and Griesch make up one of the most knowledgeable and experienced women's basketball broadcast teams in the nation.
Coatney brings an exciting, fast-paced style to the broadcast every night, along with more than 20 years of experience doing play-by-play for college women's basketball dating back to his days as the play-by-play voice for Southwest Missouri State in his hometown of Springfield, Mo. Coatney also serves as the host of Coach Connie Yori's weekly radio show on the Husker Sports Network.
Griesch has been involved with the women's basketball program at the University of Nebraska for 15 years, dating back to his days as a practice player with the team and now in his role as the Media Relations Director for the program. Griesch will also be entering his seventh season as the host of the Bank of the West Nebraska Women's Basketball Show with Coach Connie Yori in 2008-09. Husker Women's Basketball Radio Show with Connie Yori
The Husker Sports Network carries a weekly radio show with Coach Connie Yori, which can be heard statewide on the network on Tuesday nights. The show will tip-off on Tuesday, Oct. 21, with a half hour beginning a 7 p.m. (central). As Big 12 Conference action approaches in January, the show will expand to a full hour with a 7 p.m. start each Tuesday.
Matt Coatney will serve as the host of the show again in 2008-09, and fans can call in their questions to Coach Yori at (866) 487-5371. The show can also be heard live for free each week world-wide on Huskers.com.
