Nebraska-LSU Volleyball Tickets on Sale

Husker volleyball fans who can't get tickets for matches at the NU Coliseum will have a chance to see the Huskers play in Lincoln this season, as tickets for Nebraska's match against LSU at the Bob Devaney Sports Center are now on sale.

The Huskers, who set an NCAA single-match record of 13,396 and sold out the Devaney Center last fall when taking on Hawaii, will host the opening round of the Ameritas Players Challenge at the Devaney Center, giving fans an opportunity to see a pair of matches that evening. The day begins with St. John’s taking on New Mexico at 4:30 p.m., before the Huskers hit the court to tangle with the LSU Tigers at 7 p.m.  Three of the four teams made the NCAA Tournament last season with Nebraska and St. John’s advancing to NCAA Regionals.  Fans who purchase tickets will be able to attend both matches.

Ticket prices for the matches range from $8 to $14 and can be purchased on Huskers.com, over the phone at 800-8-BIGRED or in person at the Nebraska Ticket Office.  UNL students can buy tickets for just $5 and have the option of sitting in special student seating in the end courts on the floor or in reserved seating in the B and C Levels.  For season ticket holders, the Devaney Center match against LSU is included in the 2008 season ticket packages.

Groups of 20 or more who are interested in seeing the matches can purchase special group rate tickets for as little as $6 apiece and can contact the NU Ticket Office at 800-8-BIGRED for more details.

Fans who want to get a sneak peek at the 2008 Huskers can now also purchase tickets to the annual Red/White Scrimmage at the Nebraska Coliseum on Saturday, Aug. 23, at 7 p.m.  Tickets are set at $10 (adults) and $8 (youth and seniors), while all UNL Students will be admitted free with their valid N-Card.  It will be the first chance to see Nebraska’s newcomers, who make up one of the nation’s top recruiting classes.

The remainder of Nebraska’s single-match tickets will go on sale Tuesday, Aug. 5, at 8 a.m. and can be purchased on Huskers.com, in person at the Nebraska Ticket Office or over the phone at 800-8-BIGRED. Fans are encouraged to purchase tickets online, as it is the fastest way to process tickets for home matches.

Runza/AVCA Showcase Tickets Now Available
Lincoln ? Tickets for the 2008 Runza/AVCA Showcase are also currently on sale. The two-day tournament takes place on Friday, Aug. 29 and Sunday, Aug. 31 at Qwest Center Omaha. The tournament field includes the Huskers, fellow Big 12 champion Texas, NCAA runner-up Stanford and NCAA semifinalist USC.

Fans can purchase tickets at the Qwest Center Box Office and Ticketmaster locations across the state. In the conference challenge format, the Huskers and Texas will both take on Stanford and USC during the weekend matches.
