Five Huskers Named to Big 12 Honor Roll

Lincoln - The Nebraska women’s tennis team placed five members on the 2008 Big 12 Commissioner’s Spring Honor Roll, released on Wednesday, June 11. Freshman Abby Buxton, sophomore Wiveca Swarting, juniors Marianne Cicmanec and Ashley Finnegan and senior Imke Reimers were among the 270 Nebraska student-athletes named to the list, awarded to those who achieved at least a 3.0 grade-point-average during the spring 2008 semester.

Reimers earned her eighth honor roll selection in eight semesters, while both Finnegan and Swarting earned their fourth in four semesters at NU. Cicmanec was named to her third honor roll and Buxton to her second. Finnegan was one of 36 Huskers to earn a perfect 4.0 GPA for the semester.
