Page Makes WNBA Regular-Season Debut

Danielle Page scored two points and grabbed four rebounds in her WNBA regular-season debut to help Connecticut roll to a 100-67 win over Atlanta on Saturday, May 18.

Page became the third former Husker in history, joining WNBA All-Star Anna DeForge and Nicole Kubik, to play in a regular-season game.

Page, who earned a spot on the roster for the Connecticut Sun's season-opening game despite signing a training camp contract with the club, hit her only attempt from the field while pulling down two offensive and two defensive boards in 3:44 of action.

The Sun added a 77-63 victory over the New York Liberty on Sunday, but Page did not see game action. Page is one of 14 players remaining on the Sun roster.

Connecticut is scheduled to resume regular-season action Sacramento on Saturday, May 24. Tip-off is set for 6 p.m. Central. The Sun's game with Indiana on Tuesday, May 27, is also scheduled for a 6 p.m. tip-off with live national television coverage on ESPN2.
