Michelle (Cuddeford) Gaines

After playing softball at <?xml:namespace prefix="st1" ns="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags"?>Nebraska, I started my teaching career here in Lincoln and have been teaching Physical Education & Health for 15 years. The state of Nebraska wanted to start softball as a high school sport and I was able to start my coaching career at Lincoln High, the same school I graduated from. I coached softball for 13 years and led the team to two State Softball appearances. I really enjoyed sharing the things I learned from my playing days at Nebraska. I was inducted to my high school's athletic hall of fame. I retired from Lincoln High in 2005 to spend more time with my family.  I still continue to play softball yet today, enjoying the friendship and competition.  <?xml:namespace prefix="o" ns="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office"?>

I’ve been married for 15 years (in 2008) to David and we have two children Ashley (9) and Austin (6). Currently I’m coaching my daughter’s select 10 and under team called Lady Lightning. I really enjoy coaching younger girls they have so much zest for the game. My son Austin is playing T-ball. As a family we spend a lot of time outdoors playing sports and camping.

Go Big Red!!
