The Nebraska volleyball program captured its second consecutive Life Skills Team Award in 2008. The award honors the team that demonstrates the strongest commitment to all phases of the Nebraska Life Skills Program over the past academic year, including outreach, education and leadership.
The Life Skills Award is presented at NU's annual Student-Athlete Academic Recognition Banquet at the Bob Devaney Sports Center in April.
The volleyball team outdistanced 10 Husker teams that earned Gold Level status in 2007-08, including the women's basketball, baseball, women's gymnastics, wrestling, softball, women's tennis, men's gymnastics, football and women's golf teams.
