Fox Sports Net to Air 2008 Big 12 Championships

The 2008 Big 12 Swimming and Diving Championships, completed over the weekend in <?xml:namespace prefix="st1" ns="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags"?>Austin, Texas, will air on Fox Sports Net on a tape-delay basis beginning Thursday, March 6.<?xml:namespace prefix="o" ns="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office"?>

Husker swimming and diving followers in the Lincoln and Omaha area can watch the event Thursday, March 6 at noon and Sunday, March 9 at 2:30 p.m. on Fox Sports Net Midwest.

Filming of the 2008 Big 12 Championships took place on Friday, Feb. 29 and Saturday, March 1. Select finals events from these two days will be shown on the 2-hour telecast.

Nebraska finished sixth at the four-day meet and had 12 top-10 finishes. Sophomores Hailey Dean and Mariah Hutchinson each set NCAA provisional-qualifying marks, as Dean placed seventh in the 100 breaststroke and Hutchinson sixth in the 200 butterfly. Divers Courtney Jolly and Mariesa Cloud also claimed top-eight finishes on the boards.
