Huskers Wrap Up Cleveland Golf Palmetto Intercollegiate

Aiken, S.C. - The Nebraska men's golf team finished the Cleveland Golf Palmetto Intercollegiate in 15th place Tuesday with a final team score of 942. Tennessee-Chattanooga captured the team title with a three-round total of 850. Jonathan Hodge of Tennessee-Chattanooga won the individual medal with a two-over-par score of 212.

Nebraska was led by freshman Mike Coatman, whose final round 73 gave him a 227 for the tournament, putting him in a tie for 37th place. It's the first time this year that Coatman has been alone atop the Huskers' leaderboard at the end of the tournament.

Junior Chris Bruening, who sat out the South Florida Invitational a week ago, responded by shooting the second-best score for the Huskers, a 235. Bruening finished in a tie for 58th place. Andrew Wyatt finished 68th overall at 239. Mark Pillen and Brett Sundberg rounded out the Huskers' scoring with scores of 241 and 253 respectively.

Nebraska will next compete Mar. 21-23 at the Ron Moore Invitational in Goodyear, Ariz. The young Husker squad will look to regain their confidence at the Ron Moore Invite, as Nebraska has finished second there the past two years.
