NU-KU Game Sold Out; 375 SRO Tickets Remain

<?xml:namespace prefix="st1" ns="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags"?>Lincoln --- Less than a day after single-game tickets went on sale, the Huskers' men's basketball contest against No. 3 Kansas this Saturday in Lincoln was officially the first sell out of the season at the Devaney Center.

A limited amount of standing-room only tickets were then released on Wednesday morning, and as of Thursday night, less than 375 standing-room only tickets remained. Tickets were made available online and by phone (during regular business hours) and will be sold for $20, the same price as an upper bench seat for the game. Any remaining SRO tickets will be sold until the start of the game.

On Tuesday, Jan. 8, more than 3,000 tickets were sold between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. with the remaining available single-game seats being purchased overnight on Huskers.com. Nebraska's last home sellout came in Coach Doc Sadler's second career game at NU. Nebraska distributed 13,832 tickets for the Huskers' upset of No. 20 Creighton on Nov. 18, 2006. The last conference sellout came against Kansas in 2005. That was the second of two sellouts that season, as NU also had a sellout for the Creighton game during the non-conference slate.

Single-game tickets for Nebraska’s other seven home men’s basketball games during the Big 12 Conference season are also on sale. Following this weekend's contest, great college basketball action awaits as the Huskers will take on an impressive slate in league play including games against Baylor, Missouri, Iowa State, Oklahoma, Texas Tech, KansasState and Colorado. <?xml:namespace prefix="o" ns="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office"?>

Single-game tickets for contests at the BobDevaneySportsCenter can be purchased on Huskers.com or by contacting the Nebraska Athletic Ticket Office at 1-800-8BIGRED. Fans can also purchase tickets in person at the ticket office located on Stadium Drive across from Memorial Stadium. Prices during the Big 12 season range from $15-$25 per ticket depending on the location and game, providing Husker fans one of the best values in college athletics.

Under second-year Coach Doc Sadler, the Huskers are 11-2 this season heading into Saturday’s contest against No. 3 Kansas at the DevaneyCenter. Nebraska is 11-0 at home this season, including 10 wins in the 13,595-seat DevaneyCenter. Nebraska has won 12 straight home games (including one at Qwest Center Omaha) dating to last season, the 14th longest active home winning streak in the country.
