Men's Golf Signs Two Recruits

The Nebraska men's golf team has officially announced the signing of two recruits to scholarship. Jordan Reinertson of Gibbon, Neb. and Scott WIllman of Prairie Village, Kan. will join the Husker squad next fall.

Reinertson, a senior at Gibbon High School this year, finished second at the C-1 State Championship last spring, helping Gibbon capture its first-ever boys state golf championship. Reinertson was the C-1 state champion in 2006 and finished runner-up as a freshman in 2005.

This past summer, Reinertson finished eighth at the Nebraska Men's State Amateur. In the summer of 2006, Reinertson won the Future Legends tournament, an American Junior Golf Association event. He also received the honor of being selected to compete with the best junior golfers in the world this past summer at the Footjoy Invitational in North Carolina and Rolex Tournament of Champions in Ohio.

Scott WIllman is a senior at Shawnee Mission East High School. In 2006, Willman tied for second at the Kansas 6A State Golf Tournament, Kansas' largest high school classification. Last season, Willman finished third in the Sunflower League. He was a First-team member of the All-Sunflower League, First-team All-Sun and Honorable Mention All-Star Johnson County.

Willman is also an AJGA participant. In 2005, playing against competition as many as three years older than him, Willman tied for 22nd at the Wildcat Golf/Wichita Junior Championship, which brought golfers from all over the country. Willman has also competed on the Future Collegians World Tour.
