With the continuing progress from the city of Lincoln’s Antelope Valley construction project, there will be some changes to traffic flow and parking areas around the Bob Devaney Sports Center on the grounds of State Fair Park. Fans should familiarize themselves with the most current parking map of the fairgrounds before they trek to the Devaney Center for men’s basketball games. <?xml:namespace prefix="o" ns="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office"?>
Fans will be able to access the fairgrounds from Antelope Valley Parkway/14th Street and from 27th Street as in previous years. A significant change this year will come as the entrance to the fairgrounds from 17th Street has been closed and will not reopen. The gates at the 17th Street entrance (by the train tracks) will also be closed all season.
With the start of new construction to complete the big ?X’, the parking area at the Nebraska Track Office (old Lot 5) will be unavailable for every game use. Parking pass holders who will be in Lot 5 should note that this lot has moved to the Northeast of the Devaney Center. More public parking has also been added to the Northeast of the Devaney Center on the fairgrounds.
Traffic flow to the South of the Devaney Center will change because of the closed gates at 17th Street. Only fans with parking passes for Lot 4 and those who hold parking passes for the Courtside Club should enter to the South onto Court Street.
Fans entering to Lots 1, 7 and 8 should come into the fairgrounds on the West Entrance Road, or from the East off of North State Fair Park Drive, which will connect traffic to 27th Street. Fans should exit the same way they entered.
Fans parking in Lot 5 or fans without assigned parking (public parking) should enter off 27th Street onto North State Fair Park Drive. Fans should exit the same way they entered the fairgrounds.
