Pre-USC
On whether or not this game is special to him
“No not really. It is just another game for me. I take one game at a time. We are going to play it to win it, just like they are going to play it to win it. It is going to be a hard battle.”
On a game film they can use from last year
“I only looked at the Idaho game, but I have seen some clips of the OregonState game. They can break down just like we can break down.”
On his family making a big deal of the game
“I am going to hear from my friends back home whether we beat them or they beat us. I do not let that get to me. Of course my family will want us to beat them. It is a big game for them, but it is just a game for us.”
On if there will be a run emphasis against USC
“That is Coach Callahan’s thing. He wants to pound it. It is going to be big going against a tough defense, but we have worked on it all camp against our defense. Our defense is great too. We are ready for it.”
On his readiness
“I am fresh. I am just trying to keep my body healthy throughout the season.”
On being known as a complete runner
“[I want to be known] not just a rusher. I can catch the ball too. That is what I am looking for, not just rushing. All-purpose yards, not just rushing yards.”
On why USC’s defense is so good
“Experience. They have a lot of experience on that D-line and linebacking corps. That is their strength of the defense.”
