Training in <?xml:namespace prefix="st1" ns="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags"?>Vancouver

Most of our training has taken place in Vancouver, for the past year, preparing for the World Cup.  The past two weeks we have had more of a focus on game preparation and tactics as our first World Cup game versus Norway is coming up soon.  The weather has been pretty good and everyone is getting more excited as the tournament approaches.  We usually train once a day for a couple hours, with some strength and agility work at the end of the session.  We have also had some games against local boys’ teams which have been fun. They always give us a good run, but so far we have come out on top each time.  We are heading to Japan tomorrow to play our last international friendly game against Japan before the World Cup starts.  We came here in 2004 and, although we lost, the crowd was amazing. There were over 30,000 singing and cheering fans for 90 minutes.
