Lincoln ? For the first time this fall the Nebraska football team practiced inside Memorial Stadium on Tom Osborne Field for a 2 1/2 hour workout in helmets and shoulder pads Thursday afternoon.
The practice was the fourth of fall camp as the Huskers prepare to don full pads for Friday’s 3 p.m. workout.
“It was great weather today,” Head Coach Bill Callahan said. “It was absolutely great. It was good to get out in the heat and work a little bit. Our kids are acclimating to this type of weather and I think it’s good. We’ve been inside for the last two days so it was great to finally get outside.”
