The <?xml:namespace prefix="st1" ns="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags"?>Nebraska football team claimed a No. 19 ranking in the 2007 USA Today Preseason Top 25 Coaches poll that was released on Friday. USC, the Huskers’ Sept. 15 opponent at Memorial Stadium, earned the No. 1 ranking, receiving 45 of a possible 60 first-place votes.<?xml:namespace prefix="o" ns="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office"?>
Other Big 12 teams appearing in the poll were Texas (No. 4), Oklahoma (No. 8) and Texas A&M (No. 25), while Missouri, Texas Tech, OklahomaState and KansasState were among the schools receiving votes.
Nebraska is scheduled to face three teams ranked in the preseason poll, highlighted by home games with top-ranked USC and 25th-ranked Texas A&M and a trip to No. 4 Texas.
