Nebraska Names Six to Big 12 Honor Roll

The <?xml:namespace prefix="st1" ns="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags"?>Nebraska men’s gymnastics team placed six gymnasts among 255 NU student-athletes on the Big 12 Commissioner’s Spring Honor Roll this week, which recognizes a grade point average of 3.0 or higher during the previous semester.<?xml:namespace prefix="o" ns="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office"?>

 

The list of Husker gymnasts reveals six repeat selections, including junior Stephen T?trault, sophomores Bo Benak and Eric Daigle and freshmen Garrett Durst, Josh Rusler and Stefan Wallof. Wallof leads the group as one of 46 Husker student-athletes with a perfect 4.0 grade-point average.

 

T?trault enjoys his sixth consecutive honor roll appearance. A math major at Nebraska, the Lincoln, Neb., native has also been named a CoSIDA Academic All-District At-Large selection, a two-time College Gymnastics Association First Team Academic All-American and a two-time Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Academic All-Conference member. T?trault is also a three-time NCAA All-American for the Huskers, including two top-eight finishes (all-around and pommel horse) in 2007.

 

Daigle gains his third selection to the list after also earning MPSF Academic All-Conference honors in 2007.
