Senior Ashley DeBuhr was named an NFCA All-Midwest Region selection for the third time in her career, the National Fastpitch Coaches Association announced on Wednesday.
DeBuhr was named to the second team, after earning first-team honors in 2006 and second-team accolades in 2005.
A native of Beatrice, Neb., DeBuhr is also a three-time All-Big 12 selection, including first-team honors in each of the last two seasons.
One of the top pitchers in the conference, DeBuhr ranks among the Big 12 leaders with 18 wins, a 1.70 ERA, 248 strikeouts, four saves, five shutouts, a .191 opponent batting average and 26 complete games.
The only pitcher in school history to post more than one 300-strikeout season, DeBuhr ranks second all-time in school history with 916 career strikeouts. DeBuhr also ranks among the top 10 in NU history in eight different categories.
