Reimers and Kuhl named to All-Big 12 Teams

Iriving, Texas - The Nebraska women's team placed two players on the All-Big 12 team, released on Tuesday. Junior Imke Reimers was named to the singles team, while Reimers and freshman Diana Kuhl were named to the doubles squad.

Reimers finished second in the Big 12 in No. 1 singles wins with an 8-3 record, just behind Texas A&M's Anna Lubinsky who finished at 9-2. Reimers and Kuhl teamed up at the No. 1 doubles position for much of the season, earning a 6-4 record in Big 12 play.

Baylor junior Zuzana Zemenova took home the Player-of-the-Year award for the third straight year, and Texas' Vanja Corovic earned Newcomer-of-the-Year and Freshman-of-the-Year honors. Colorado's Nicole Kenneally won the Coach-of-the-Year award.

Reimers finished the season with a 17-4 singles record in the spring and an 11-3 singles record in the fall. Her 28 singles victories this season tied for second all-time on the Husker single-season wins chart, behind Sandra Noetzel, who had 30 in 1998-99. Reimers' 28-7 record this season is good for fourth all-time on the single-season winning percentage chart, at .800. Reimers also moved to first place on the NU career singles winning percentage chart, with a record of 69-25 and a .734 winning percentage.

With a 20-9 doubles record this season, Reimers' combined 48 wins this season ranks tied for fourth all-time on the season combined wins list, and her 125 career combined wins also rank fourth all-time in NU history. She also moved to third place in the career doubles individual wins list with 58.
