North Platte ? The Nebraska soccer team posted a 3-0 shutout over Colorado on Saturday afternoon in North Platte, Neb. With the win, the Huskers close the spring season with a record of 3-1-2.
Junior Jessie Bruch notched her first goal of the spring season in the win, as did sophomore Selenia Iacchelli. Freshman Shay Powell took top scoring honors for the Huskers, notching her third goal of the spring to lead Nebraska. As a team, the Huskers scored 10 goals during their spring schedule.
Redshirt freshman goalkeeper Brittany Pfeil played all 90 minutes in goal, rejecting the Buffs and tallying her second shutout of the spring.
Nebraska will now return to its training for the remainder of spring and summer before beginning their 2007 fall season with the fourth annual Jenna Cooper Memorial Exhibition in Louisville, Ky., on Saturday, Aug. 25 at 7 p.m.
