Lincoln – The Nebraska athletic department is excited to announce that Husker fans will have the opportunity to catch both of Tuesday’s softball and baseball games for the price of one. Fans planning on attending the baseball game between Nebraska and Creighton will receive free admission into the softball game between Nebraska and Iowa State.
The Huskers and Cyclones will open the evening at 5 p.m. at Bowlin Stadium, before the action moves to Hawks Field for the 6:35 p.m. in-state showdown. The baseball ticket office will open at 5 p.m., allowing fans the opportunity to purchase game tickets that they can then use to get into the start of the softball game.
The promotion was set up to allow fans to support both surging squads at a great value. There is no better time to catch the teams than right now, as both are playing their best ball of the season.
The Husker softball team has won five straight games and 12 of their last 14 overall, including a two-game sweep of 11th-ranked Texas last weekend. The baseball team is coming off two straight Big 12 series wins against nationally-ranked teams.
After a great turn out for a number of events on Saturday including the Red-White Spring Game, NU hopes Husker Nation will again come out and support both programs on Tuesday for what promises to be a great atmosphere at Haymarket Park.
