Field Set for 2007 NCAA Championships

Lincoln- The NCAA sent out its invitations for the 2007 women's gymnastics national championships on Monday afternoon, setting the 12-team field at the NCAA Championships hosted by the University of Utah at the Jon. M. HuntsmanCenter, April 26-28 in Salt Lake City, Utah.

 

The West Regional runner-up Huskers (23-5) will take on Florida, Georgia, Alabama, OregonState and Oklahoma in the first session of the preliminary round on Thursday, April 26. The event is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. (MST), and NU will begin on bars, followed by beam, a bye, floor, vault and a bye.

 

Second-round action, which is scheduled for 7 p.m. Thursday, will include Utah, as well as Stanford, UCLA, Michigan, LSU and Denver.

 

Junior Emily Parsons, the 2007 South Central Regional Gymnast of the Year for the second consecutive season, will lead the sixth-ranked Huskers into their ninth straight NCAA Championships appearance.
