Lincoln-The Nebraska bowling team jumped to the No. 1 position in the final National Tenpin Coaches Association poll of the season. The Huskers edged Fairleigh Dickinson, the 2006 National Champions, for the top spot.
NU received 418 first-place points, while Fairleigh Dickinson received 417 first-place points.
NTCA, the voice and leadership of NCAA bowling, reviewed Nebraska's recent wins at the Music City Classic and the Brunswick Windy City Classic when considering Nebraska as the nation's top bowling team.

The Huskers, who are 73-15 on the year, hope to win their third NCAA title this weekend at Apopka, Fla.
