Bailey Swims in 400 IM at NCAA Championships

Minneapolis, Minn.? Husker senior Lauren Bailey geared up for Saturday’s 1,650 freestyle by swimming in the preliminaries of the 400 individual medley Friday at the NCAA Championships in Minneapolis, Minn.

 

Bailey placed 38th overall in a time of 4:22.24 to match her finish from the 2004 NCAA Championships. Last year Bailey was 34th overall, while she was 28th as a sophomore.

 

Saturday, Bailey will look to gain All-America status for the second straight year when she competes in the 1,650 freestyle. At the 2006 NCAA Championships, Bailey placed ninth overall. She is seeded eighth in this year’s field.
