Lincoln ? The Nebraska women’s gymnastics team is ranked No. 5 nationally in the latest GymInfo poll released Monday. The poll, which is calculated by regional qualifying score, also ranks NU first in both the South Central region and the Big 12 Conference after a win over No. 7 Utah, 196.675-196.10, Sunday at the Bob Devaney Sports Center. In addition, the Huskers rank fourth in team floor (49.22) and beam (49.11) scoring, as well as seventh on bars (49.12) and vault (49.235).
Individually, junior Emily Parsons is the nation’s top-ranked floor performer (9.93) and also ranks second on vault (9.945) and third on beam (9.90). Junior Desire’ Sniatynski is rated 13th on bars (9.875) and 20th in the all-around (39.20), while sophomore Kylie Stone is 22nd in the all-around (39.17) and 11th on floor (9.885)
Nebraska travels to No. 8 LSU this Friday, March 16 at 7 p.m. at the Pete Maravich Center.
