Huskers Ranked Eighth Nationally

Lincoln ? The Nebraska women’s gymnastics team is ranked No. 8 nationally in the latest GymInfo poll released Monday. The poll, which is calculated by regional qualifying score, also ranks NU first in both the South Central region and the Big 12 Conference after a win over No. 7 Utah, 196.675-196.10, Sunday at the BobDevaneySportsCenter. In addition, the Huskers rank fourth in team floor (49.22), as well as fifth on beam (48.97), seventh on vault (49.215) and eighth on bars (49.04).

 

Individually, junior Emily Parsons is the nation’s top-ranked floor performer (9.915) and also ranks second on vault (9.945) and beam (9.895). Junior Desire’ Sniatynski is rated 11th on bars (9.875) and 16th in the all-around (39.20), while sophomores Kylie Stone and Tricia Woo are 13th on floor (9.88) and 19th on beam (9.84), respectively.

 

Nebraska plays host to No. 13 Iowa State next Sunday, March 11 at 2 p.m. at the DevaneyCenter.
