Austin, Texas ? Senior Danielle Stansbury earned her highest finish ever in zone history as she placed ninth on the three meter Friday at the NCAA Zone D Diving Meet in Austin, Texas.
Stansbury, a native of Lincoln, Neb., earned a score of 520.65 in the finals to finish just ahead of Kansas’ Jenny Roberts, who was 10th with a score of 514.25. Stansbury’s finish was fifth among Big 12 Conference divers. She also went on to place 16th (433.85) on the one meter Saturday.
Sophomore Courtney Jolly also achieved the highest zone placing of her career as she was 10th on the one meter with a score of 461.75. The finish was eight spots higher than last year when she was 18th at the zone meet in Columbia, Mo. Jolly finished 16th (470.60) on the three meter.
The 2007 NCAA Zone D Diving Meet will conclude Sunday with the platform dive at 10 a.m.
