Weather Forces Schedule Changes at Stetson Invite

Lincoln ? Because of Thursday’s inclement weather, the Husker baseball team’s schedule for this weekend’s Stetson Invitational has been changed. Nebraska was scheduled to leave Omaha Thursday morning, but a blizzard in the Midwest forced cancellation of the Huskers’ scheduled flight.

The Huskers, who will fly to Florida Friday morning, will open tournament play against Notre Dame on Saturday, March 3 at 3 p.m. (central). The Huskers’ game against Iowa, originally scheduled for Friday afternoon, has moved to Sunday, March 4, at 11 a.m. while NU will take on the host Hatters on Monday.

Nebraska enters this weekend’s action with a 5-2 record and is ranked as high as seventh in this week’s national polls. The full tournament schedule is listed below. Saturday and Sunday’s games will be carried across the state on the Husker Sports Network, while Monday’s contest against Stetson will be carried on Huskers.com. All three games will also be video-streamed live on HuskersNside.
