IRVING, TEXAS?The Big 12 Conference announced its 2007 college baseball telecast schedule on FSN on Tuesday. Six games, including the Phillips 66 Big 12 Championship on May 27 from AT&T Bricktown Ballpark in Oklahoma City, will be telecast on FSN’s regional affiliates.
The Huskers, who are ranked as high as seventh nationally, will make two national television appearances on FSN this spring, traveling to Oklahoma on Saturday, April 14, at 3 p.m. before taking on defending Big 12 champion Texas in a match-up of the league’s last two regular-season champions on Saturday, April 21.
NU’s game against the Longhorns will mark FSN’s first game broadcast from Hawks Field at Haymarket Park since the park opened in 2002. The national telecast also means a later start time, as the game, originally slated for a 2:05 p.m., now has a first pitch time of 3 p.m.
FSN’s national coverage begins Sunday, April 1 at 1 p.m. with No. 23 Oklahoma State hosting No. 24 Baylor. Other televised games Kansas State at Kansas on Saturday, May 5 at 3 p.m. and Texas at Texas A&M on Friday, May 18 at 6:30 p.m. All times listed are Central.
The six games will be made available to FSN’s regional affiliates, reaching more than 82 million cable and satellite TV homes nationwide.
Additional television exposures are possible through other Big 12 broadcast partners and institutional contacts.
