Inside the Huddle with Cory Montgomery

When and how did you get interested in basketball and begin playing?
- Both of my parents are big into sports and they both played basketball at the college level, and my brother also played, so I grew up around it.

Is there a nickname the coaches and/or your teammates call you?

- Coach Malone calls me Coco otherwise they pretty much just call me Cory.

 

Does your jersey number 40 have any special significance?

- It is a family number. My mom and dad, my cousins Kayla, Katie, Kali, and Jamie, and my uncle Vance were all number 40.

 

Do you have a lucky something you take to every game?

- For my high school and AAU games it was my ugly brown water jug, but hey it kept my water really cold for days. It was amazing.

 

Where do you head for fast food?

- Chipotle

 

What is your pet peeve?

- People cracking their knuckles

 

If you could be on a reality show which one would you choose?

- Real World/Road Rules Challenge

 

If you could go anywhere in the world for a three-week vacation, where would it be?

- Australia...Iwould love to see the Great Barrier Reef

 

As an accounting major you spend lots of time on the books, but what do you do for fun in your spare time?

- Go to movies, watch TV, sleep, text people, talk to my family, hang out with teammates, have girl nights on my dorm floor

 

Where do you see yourself in six years?

- I don't know for sure, but wherever I am I know that I will be happy.
