<?xml:namespace prefix="st1" ns="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags"?>Lincoln ? The No. 10 Nebraska men’s gymnastics team turns up the intensity on its preseason preparations this week with its annual intrasquad competition. The two-day event, which is open to the public, will be held Thursday, Dec. 7, and Friday, Dec. 8, at 4 p.m. on both days in the training gym of the BobDevaneySportsCenter.<?xml:namespace prefix="o" ns="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office"?>

The Huskers will compete on the floor exercise, pommel horse and still rings on Thursday before moving into the second half of the Olympic rotation with the vault, parallel bars and high bar on Friday.

The intrasquad marks the first scoring competition for Nebraska’s 10 newcomers and gives them the opportunity to test their routines before the start of the collegiate season in January. Nebraska kicks off the 2007 season with a weekend trip to the Rocky Mountain Open on Jan. 12th and 13th in Colorado Springs, Colo., where it will meet up with Air Force and defending national champion Oklahoma.
