Nebraska-Creighton Game Nearly Sold Out

Lincoln --- The Nebraska Athletic Department announced Tuesday that approximately 900 public tickets are available for the Husker men’s basketball game against nationally ranked Creighton on Saturday, Nov. 18. Tip off for the contest is set for 7 p.m.

The only tickets left for the contest are in the upper benches and cost $15. Tickets can be purchased on-line at Huskers.com or by calling 1-800-8BIGRED. Fans can also buy tickets at the Nebrasaka Athletic Ticket Office across from Memorial Stadium during regular business hours or at the Devaney Center during tonight’s season-opener against Nebraska-Omaha.

As of Tuesday morning, more than 12,700 tickets had been sold for the 40th meeting between the Huskers and Bluejays, including nearly 9,200 season tickets. Nebraska athletic department officials are expecting the first sellout of the 13,595-seat Devaney Center since Feb. 5, 2005 when 13,821 fans were on hand for the Huskers’ contest against No. 3-ranked Kansas. Nebraska’s last non-conference sellout also came against Creighton, as 13,602 fans were on hand for the Dec. 11, 2004 contest. A sellout Saturday would be just the second against a non-conference opponent since the 1993-94 season

If single-game tickets still remain Saturday, they will go on sale 90 minutes before tip off at the Devaney Center ticket office located on the North ramp of the building. Once all single-game tickets are sold, a small allotment of standing-room only tickets may be made available to the public. Check Huskers.com for more information on ticket sales later in the week.
