Lincoln --- A Toys for Tots drive will be held at the Bob Devaney Sports Center this Saturday, Nov. 11, when the Husker men's basketball team concludes its exhibition season with a contest against Southern Illinois-Edwardsville. The Huskers and Cougars will tip off at 7:05 p.m.
Fans coming to the basketball game are encouraged to bring a new, unwrapped present to donate at the doors. Members of the U.S. Marine Corps will be on hand to collect the dontation for children in the Lincoln area. Husker fans will have another chance to give to the Toys for Tots gift drive as their will be a collection at the Husker women's basketball game against Michigan at the Devaney Center on Saturday, Dec. 9.
The Nebraska men's basketball team opens the regular season on Tuesday, Nov. 14, when it plays host to Nebraska-Omaha at the Devaney Center. It is the first of a five-game homestand to open the 2006-07, the first year for the Huskers under new coach Doc Sadler.
