Jackson ran six times for 66 yards on Nebraska’s opening drive of the game and had 99 yards by the end of the first quarter.
  • Jackson’s 182 yards today pushed his career total to 1,026 yards, making him the 55th, 1,000-yard career rusher in Nebraska history. His 182 yards on the ground are also the most by a Husker since Cory Ross posted 194 yards against Missouri on Oct. 30, 2004.
  • Jackson had four runs of more than 20 yards today, including first-half scampers of 24, 28 and 24 yards. Jackson has eight runs of longer than 20 yards this season, and also has three pass receptions of better than 20 yards in 2006. Jackson scored a pair of rushing touchdowns today, giving him five this season.
  • Jackson also was one of five Huskers with at least three catches on the day, as he had three catches for 24 yards. He had three straight receptions on the Huskers’ final drive of the game, marking his third game this season with at least three catches.
  • Nebraska had 211 rushing yards in today’s game, marking the Huskers’ fifth 200-yard rushing game in 2006. Nebraska had just four games with more than 200 yards rushing in the two previous seasons.

  • Taylor’s 241 passing yards gives him 2,065 passing yards this season. This marks the sixth 2,000-yard passing season in school history, led by Taylor’s school-record 2,653 yards last season. Taylor is just 10 yards from holding the top two spots on the single-season passing chart, as second place is 2,074 yards by Dave Humm in 1972.
  • Taylor now has 4,718 career passing yards, good for second place on the career passing list and 318 yards from breaking the current school record of 5,035 yards by Dave Humm from 1972 to 1974.
