Running back Cody Glenn
On how it felt to get back into the rotation against Kansas
"It felt really good just to get back out there and play a couple of hits and get a couple of yards. It felt really good to be back out. The first couple of runs it felt pretty good. I felt the rhythm. Everybody was doing their jobs and we were just in sync."
On sharing carries with three other backs
"There are probably going to be games like last week like you saw with Marlon (Lucky). He got into a rhythm and he had his big game, but games before that you saw some other guys getting into the rhythm and they had their big games. So every game is going to be different. Some weekends I might have 200 yards and the next weekend I might have 20."
On whether the rotation affects his confidence
"It can if you let it, but for me not really. Everybody knows there are things they can do and things they can’t do. It’s just a matter of getting opportunities and taking advantage of the carries that you get."
On remaining positive while he was injured
"When I hurt my hamstring in practice it was pretty severe so I knew there was a pretty good chance I wouldn’t be playing the next game. Just thinking about that made it really hard at the time. But I knew that everything happens for a reason and so I just figured that I might as well just get over it, get healthy and be back as soon I as can."
On how healthy he was against Kansas
"I was pretty close to 100 percent. I can’t say I was exactly 100 percent because I was still kind of scared that if I tried to do too much I would aggravate it again. It was pretty close, but now it’s back to 100 percent."
On establishing the run against the Big 12
"A lot of stuff with us is just up front that we miss a couple of key blocks. The holes and stuff are there. The opportunities are there. It’s just a matter of us stepping up and taking advantage of it."
On how the competition against Kansas helps prepare Nebraska for Iowa State
"It will help a lot. As a team it shows us that everybody is going to bring their A games when they play us. That was probably the best game that Kansas has played all year. It just shows that everybody is going to play their A games. Going on the road, Iowa State is going to be fired up so we’re going to have to step it up and take it to a higher level this weekend."
On the challenge of playing on the road
"With Iowa State because they have grass a lot of guys will have to go out there and get a feel for the surface. For a lot of the other guys that do a lot of cutting and juking, it’s going to affect them more than for me because I basically just go downhill a lot."
On what makes Nebraska a good overtime team
"I think overtime is a battle of who wants it more. You have to prove who is willing to give it their all. The guys on our team, you can see that they want it. They want to win every time they get on the field and if it comes down to that then they are going to do whatever they have to do to win."
On the importance of a win over Iowa State
"It will be really good if we could come out 2-0. Coming into the year, some people picked Iowa State to win the Big 12 North and some people picked us so it’ll be a big game. I’m sure they’ve been looking forward to it for a long time. If we can get a win it’s going to be really big for us for the rest of the Big 12 North."
