The Husker soccer program is excited to announce yet another improvement to the fan experience at the Nebraska Soccer Field just in time for the Big 12 Conference season. <?xml:namespace prefix="o" ns="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office"?>
Starting this Friday, Sept. 29, at the <?xml:namespace prefix="st1" ns="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags"?>Colorado game, soccer fans are invited to enter the Nebraska Soccer Field exclusively from the west entrance under the skybridge of the Tom and Nancy Osborne Athletic Complex. This entrance puts fans at field level, giving them the chance to get into the action by taking advantage of the sideline seating that surrounds the pitch. The field-level entrance also gives handicap guests direct access to the field, as well as a better view.
With the move to the west entrance, fan amenities have been made more accessible as both the concessions and restrooms will now be located immediately to the northwest of the field in the new HawksChampionshipCenter.
The 2006 Nebraska soccer posters and schedule cards, as well as gameday flipcards, will be available at the west entrance throughout the remainder of the season and fans are encouraged to pick up a few of these free souvenirs as they enter the facility.
The previous entrances along the south side of the Nebraska Soccer Field near the columns will not be in operation any longer and all fans are invited to instead join the Huskers at field-level through the west entrance beneath the skybridge.
