Ola Dagunduro
Senior, Nose Tackle
On what he's looking forwat to most this week
“I’m looking forward to just preparing in practice for what we might see in the game.”<?xml:namespace prefix="o" ns="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office"?>

On earing a starting postion

“It means a lot.  I feel like I’m one of the leaders on the defense.  I’m ready to go out there and do my best and show the other guys how to do it.”

On playing in front of a young secondary

“We've got some young guys in the backfield, but those guys are ready.  We’re going to do our job up front anyway.”

On playing against Louisiana Tech quarterback Zac Champion

“It’s going to be real tough.  We’re going to try to get to him early and rile him up in the beginning.  I think that’s a good key to stopping him.”

On the defensive line's preparation
“We’ve worked extremely hard.  The whole defense has worked extremely hard.  The front four are all even this year, so we know there’s no way out.  We’ve got to go all out now.

We’ve worked on hand placement.  Basically we need to get our hands on the offensive line before they can get their hands on us so our linebackers are free to make plays.  That is very crucial to our defense.  Without us stopping those O-linemen from getting to our linebackers, we have no defense.  So that’s a key component.”

On his expectations of Saturday's game day atmosphere

“I already know it’s going to be a lot of fun.  It’s going to be crazy out there.  We feed off the fans and to have that many more fans in there...the more the merrier.”

On Louisiana Tech's offensive plans

“Right now we see a lot of zones.  Maybe a couple of trick plays.  So we just have to stay on our toes.”

On the defensive line's goals

“We just want to get to the quarterback as fast and often as we can.”

On Nebraska's offensive line

“They are a lot quicker, a lot quicker going into the zone left and right.  These guys will reach you if you aren’t on top of your game.  They’ll reach you just like that.”
